GREEN CAMPUS POLICY OF THE COLLEGE:
RajendraAcademy for Teachers’ Education is a quality conscious college. It protects itsown environment with its green campus initiative and keeps pollution freecampus. Environment development is its basic work with the educational policiesimplemented on the campus. Environmental conscious administration, themanagement and the students of the college look after the environmentcarefully. Every year, during rainy season, we do tree plantation and carefullylook after it. It’s our own responsibility to preserve the work done on thecampus related to the environment. Our environmental policy:
>To create awareness regarding environmental policyamongst the students and the management.
>To maintain pollution free campus by avoiding tobacco,pan-masala, chewing on the campus. As per the govt. rules and regulationsregarding the instructions of tobacco free campus signboards are displayed atvarious places on the campus.
>To Use Solar Energy on College Campus by installingSolar Lamps and Solar water Heaters in Girls and Boys hostels.
>To sensitize the students and staff regarding the useof drinking water properly for which, we have provided purified (RO aqua-guard)drinking water facilities on the campus.
>To bring in use the ‘Rain Water Harvesting’ on the campus.We have collected the rain water from the college roof and it is percolated inthe land.
>To observe ‘No Vehicle Day’ and keep the campusvehicle free. It helps to save the fuel, avoids the environmental pollution.
>To maximize the use of ICT and minimize the use ofpaper. It will help to go towards ‘Paperless Office’.
>To use the solid waste through vermin-compost on thecampus and use it as a fertilizer.
>To reduce the ‘sound pollution in the campus, we havebuilt the seating arrangements in the shade of trees in our campus.
>To use ‘Use me’ Dry and Wet dust bins in the collegecampus so as to keep college campus clean
>To protect and nurture the Flora and Fauna on thecampus
>To maintain greencampus, ‘Green Audit’ is done regularly.
